Telangana Congress leaders, who attended a meeting to chalk out the strategy ahead of the Assembly polls less than six months away in the State, met with party state in charge Manikrao Thakre in Delhi on Monday.
All political affairs committee members from the state unit were called to Delhi for the meeting.
While leaders like MPs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, former PCC chief V.Hanumantha Rao and former minister Shabbir Ali are in Delhi, others like legislators D.Sridhar Babu and T.Jayaprakash ‘Jagga’ Reddy were likely to reach on Tuesday.
The PAC leaders will discuss the strategy to be adopted for the ensuing elections.Similar meetings of leaders from states going to polls like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh will happen in due course, said PAC member Shabbir Ali.
Speaking after appraising the issues to be discussed, senior Congress leader K.Jana Reddy said, “We are all united in our endeavour to take the party forward and restore the glory days of the past.
On the other hand, fireworks are expected at the meeting in Delhi to chalk out the strategy ahead of elections.
The friction between the seniors and TPCC president A.Revanth Reddy is likely to come up for discussion and a coordination mechanism established to remove the gaps.The move acquires added importance owing to the bad press the party has to endure owing to the outburst of former TPCC president N.Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday against Revanth Reddy.
The strategy meet will arrive at a month wise programme specific to the state.
Report given by party strategist Sunil Kanugolu who is participating in the meet is likely to be discussed in the meeting.
