Avika Gor, the actress known for her role in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu, is now 25 years old and is expanding her career into the world of cinema.She is currently preparing for her upcoming film, titled 1920 Horrors of the Heart, which is set to release on June 23.In a recent podcast appearance with Siddharth Kanan, Gor reflected on her journey in the entertainment industry, including her famous character Roli in the show Sasural Simar Ka.Surprisingly, she admitted that watching the show now makes her cringe.
During the podcast, Gor shared some of the outrageous storylines she was involved in while playing Roli on Sasural Simar Ka.She mentioned scenes where she had to ask a ghost not to take the law into its own hands and being stabbed by a Trishul (a trident) multiple times.She also mentioned the unbelievable events she had to portray, such as coming back from the dead three times, getting kidnapped 50 times, and being married 6-7 times.Gor humorously commented on the show, saying that it felt like there was a lot of tension in her life because of Sasural Simar Ka.
Sasural Simar Ka, which aired on Colors TV from 2011 to 2018, featured Avika Gor as the second female lead alongside Dipika Kakar.The show gained immense popularity, leading to the launch of a second installment in 2021.
However, the show recently went off the air in April 2023.
Switching gears to her film project, 1920 Horrors of the Heart is the fifth installment in the 1920 series.The movie is directed by Krishna Bhatt, produced by Vikram Bhatt, and written by Mahesh Bhatt.As Gor prepares for the film’s release on June 23, she is excited to venture into the big-screen world and continue her acting career beyond television.
