Filmmaker SS Rajamouli Considers Making Movie About Indus Valley Civilization

Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, recently took to Twitter and shared a post about the ancient cities of the Indus Valley Civilization, including Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, and Dholavira, among others.He suggested that SS Rajamouli, the renowned filmmaker, should consider making a movie based on this ancient civilization.

Rajamouli responded positively, stating that while shooting for his movie Magadheera in Dholavira, he saw a tree that was so old that it had turned into a fossil.He had an idea for a film about the rise and fall of the Indus Valley Civilization, narrated by that tree.

Rajamouli also mentioned that he had tried to visit Mohenjodaro in Pakistan but was denied permission.

Anand Mahindra was delighted to hear Rajamouli’s response and encouraged him to go for it.Fans on Twitter also expressed excitement about the potential project.One fan noted that Magadheera was one of Rajamouli’s finest directorial works and that he would be the perfect choice for this project.

Rajamouli is known for directing Magadheera, a Telugu-language fantasy action film, which was released in 2009.SS Rajamouli directed “Magadheera” which featured actors Ram Charan, Srihari, Kajal Aggarwal, and Dev Gill.

The movie was based on reincarnation and eternal love.His last movie was “RRR”, which was a fictional story about two Telugu freedom fighters named Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

The film featured Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles and collected over ₹1,200 crore worldwide.It also starred Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran.

The film’s song “Naatu Naatu” won the Best Original Song award at the 95th Academy Awards earlier this year, making it the first Telugu song to be nominated in the Original Song category at the Oscars.Rajamouli has gained a reputation as a masterful filmmaker, with a keen eye for visually stunning and emotionally engaging stories.Fans of his work eagerly await news about his next project, which may potentially be a movie about the Indus Valley Civilization.
