The election fever is gripping the entire country, with the State of Karnataka going for polls next month. After this, Telangana is the next in queue.
But the government in other telugu state Andhra Pradesh is speculated to be in early mood.Though AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has recently said that the state Assembly elections on time.
But the political analysts opine there are still chances of early elections in AP at the same time with Telangana.CM Jagan’s sudden visit to Delhi recently added fuel to the discussion.
The reason is clear that the Jagan government is afraid of growing anti-incumbency and to counter oppositon unity. Now, YCP rebel MP Raghu RamaKrishna Raju has made a very interesting comment in this context.
The Narsapuram MP said that CM Jagan will dissolve the assembly by August or September and will go for polls, the same time as Telangana.
“To my knowledge, I have understood that Jagan will be cancelling the Andhra Pradesh assembly by this August or September.
He will then go to polls the same time as Telangana,” Raghu Rama said. The MP stressed two issues in his version.
He further added that there are high chances of the opposition parties coming together and the Bharatiya Janata Party might also join forces and Jagan wants to go for the elections before this happens. He also mentioned the Kodi Kathi and YS Vivekananda Reddy cases.
The Kodi Kathi case and the YS Vivekananda Reddy death case also played some role.YS Jagan was attacked inside an airport and he was sent to Hyderabad for treatment.
The sympathy angle worked well and the YSRCP leaders actively took the issue to the public in the campaign.
YS Viveka is the brother of former Chief Minister YSR and his death created a sensation in AP politics.
But a few fingers are being pointed at YS Avinash Reddy, Kadapa MP.According to Raju Garu, all these factors will make Andhra Pradesh go for early elections
It has to be mentioned here that the TDP-BJP-Janasena alliance came to power in AP in 2014.But cracks erupted in the alliance due to various reasons and the YCP banked on this.In many seats, TDP lost the elections with a mere margin of less than 500.So, if TDP forms an alliance then the situation will be different.
