Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Telangana Urban Development Minister K.T.Rama Rao on Wednesday hinted at strong action will be taken for making derogatory comments against Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao.
Taking to Twitter, KTR wrote : “In BJP ruled Karnataka 14 days jail for an aoffensive’ tweet.In Telangana, we’ve been tolerating direct & horrible insults to our CM, Ministers and Legislators may be we need to give them back in same coin, what say people?”.The tweet was in reference to the arrest of Kannada actor Chetan for posting an “offensive” tweet.
The tweet by Minister KTR, came hours after the arrest of YouTuber Chintapandu Naveen Kumar also known as Teenmaar Mallanna by the Hyderabad police for allegedly making derogatory comments against the Chief Minister and his family members.
Mallanna was picked up from the office of his channel ‘Q News’ in Peerzadiguda on the outskirts of Hyderabad late on Tuesday night.
A complaint was filed against Teenmaar Mallanna by Telangana Jagruthi member Naveen Goud, with the LB Nagar police for making defamatory comments against Kavitha and Rama Rao.Goud’s complaint demanded immediate action be taken against.It also called for the ban of the channel.
Meanwhile, Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay reacted to the incident and strongly condemned the Teenmaar Mallana’s arrest.He said that democracy is under threat under the rule of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Sanjay also paid a visit to Mallanna’s residence on March 21 night and assured full support the family.
