Cairo on the 14th of September : Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi traveled to Doha the capital of Qatar for a two-day trip which was the first of its kind in four years according to a statement issued by the Egyptian office of the presidency. “The visit, which is scheduled following a four-year gap between the two nations, is prompted by the Qatari emir,” the statement said on Tuesday.
“The two leaders will talk about the major elements of the bilateral relationship between these two nations.They will also conduct consultations and coordinate on a variety of international and regional issues of mutual interest, which require coordinated efforts to protect Arab national security.” the statement said.
Qatari News Agency on Monday declared the visit to be “a new time in relationships between Qatar and the two Arab nations”.
The Qatari Emir visited Cairo in the month of June.In the middle of March, Cairo and Doha agreed to invest $5 billion in Egypt, Xinhua news agency reported.
In January 2021 in 2021, the Arab quartet of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain signed the Al-Ula Declaration with Qatar, ending their boycott of Doha from mid-2017.
