New Delhi, Sep 12 : The Congress is ecstatic about the current Bharat Jodo Yatra.Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Monday said the yatra would consolidate the party and help promote its ideology, and said that the elephant has awakened which has shocked BJP’.In a press conference held here, he said, “The elephant has awakened” in reference to the old grand party which was not visible from the road but its “impact and the effect will be apparent in the near future”.He stated that the Congress’s activeness has shocked the BJP who are spreading rumors and false information.
He stated that even though the main focus is on Rahul Gandhi but the yatra is the party’s main event and everyone is a participant.When he was asked about the pastor’s comments, he said, “We don’t agree with to his views, but the RSS is spreading rumours about the public and also the party.”
Ramesh declared, “people who were responsible for the murder of Mahatma Gandhi as well as the killings of individuals such as Narendra Dabholkar Govind Pansare, M.M.Kalburgi and Gauri Lankesh are asking questions! What an absurd joke! Any attempt to sabotage the spirit of #BharatJodoYatra are going to fail badly! A scathing tweet by the BJP hate factory is making the rounds.It is in no way related to the content heard in the audio.It’s typical BJP insanity that has gotten more desperate after the launch of #BharatJodoYatra that has provoked an overwhelming response.”
He claimed that the BJP was not accustomed to aggressive responses from the Congress however, when they engage in unruly behavior, they will get an appropriate reaction, he said.
He declared that the Congress Yatra has received an overwhelming response in the past five days and has received a lot of media coverage.He thanked the media for their attention.
The yatra is scheduled to be in Kerala until September 30th and will begin its journey to Karnataka in October 1.
