Ayodhya 12 Sep : The expense of the construction of the grand Ram temple is expected to be in the region of 1 800 crores.Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said to reporters that the estimate was revised.
He stated this during the trust’s session of the trust on Sunday night.
The Trust also approved its regulations and rules in the meeting headed by Nripendra Misra, chairman of the Ram temple construction committee.
“After multiple revisions, we’ve finally come to this estimate.It is possible that this number will rise,” Rai said about the cost of construction.
The Trust has also made a decision to utilize white marble in the construction of the Lord Ram’s idol of Lord Ram.
Idols of various other gods of the Ramayan period will also be erected out at the Ram temple.
“Rules and regulations of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust are now finalized.The work on the rules has been ongoing for many months,” Champat Rai said.
The building of the temple is scheduled to be complete by the end of December 2023.Lord Ram is scheduled to be in his seat in the holy sanctum sanctorum prior to the festival of Makar Sankranti in the month of January in 2024, Rai said.
He added that 14 of the trust’s 15 members attended the meeting.
