New Delhi, Sep 11 : India reported 5,076 new Covid instances in the past 24 hours, compared to 5,554 Covid cases reported the previous day according to the Union Health Ministry on Sunday.In the same time the country has also recorded eleven more Covid associated deaths, bringing the death toll for the entire country up to 5,28,150 according to the report.
The active caseload has dropped to 47,945 cases.This accounts for 0.11 percent of the overall positive cases.
The recuperation of 597 patients in the last 24 hours increased the total number to 4,3919,264.Thus, India’s rate of recovery is 98.71 percent.
In the meantime, India’s daily positive rate has slightly increased to 1.58 percent, whereas the weekly rate of positivity is 1.72 percent.
Additionally, in the same time period there were there were a total of 320,000 tests were carried out across the nation, bringing the total number to over 88.94 crore.
As of Sunday morning the coverage of Covid-19 in India was higher than 214.95 crore.
More than 4.06 million adolescents have been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid-19 jab since beginning of the vaccination campaign for this age group.
