Mumbai 10th September : Anu Malik remembered recording the track with K.K.in the presence of legendary poet and lyricist Gulzar on the set of the dance reality show.Late singer K.K.is well-known for his hits like ‘Tadap Takadap Ke Dil Se”, ‘Pal’ and many more.The 53-year-old musician Krishnakumar Kunnath died on May 31st, following a stroke.performing for hours at the concert in Kolkata and the death of his father was an enormous shock to all music lovers and the industry.
After watching the performance of the contestant from ‘DID Super Mothers’ Anila and choreographer Shweta on the song ‘Banda bindas in 2001’s film “Aks,” which was sung by K.K., composed by Malik and based on the megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Anu shared the story of how K.K.composed the track with R.D.Burman.
He declared: “I feel your performance was truly exceptional.Your use of props as well as your footwork was amazing.I’d like to add that there are many who don’t even know that I wrote this song.Many also question me if this is my original song, but your performance made me think of my friend who sang this song”K.K.” K.K.”
He said: “He is no longer with us at present but we have plenty of memories with him that we will cherish.I can still recall the time when we recorded the track, Gulzar Sahab, along with the rest of us were sitting together.
I was in charge of directing and writing the entire album, and K.K.asked to hear the song.First time, K.K.expressed her appreciation and said, “Anu Sir, you remind me of a lot of Pancham da.Indeed, I’m amazed to see you sing the various genres of songs too.’ These words really touched me.”
