Jaipur 9 Sep : Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jaisalmer late Friday evening for a two-day visit to Rajasthan.He arrived at the headquarters of the Border Security Force’s Dabla South Sector where he will stay his night in the BSF Officers Institute.
Shah is scheduled to visit Tanot Mata temple on Saturday morning.After praying, he will perform Bhoomi Pujan of the Tourism Development Centre in the temple premises.
The funds of about Rs 17.67 crore are approved for the Tanot Mata temple, near the border between Pakistan and India, and is planned to be built to attract tourists.A weapon display and a photo gallery, etc.will be organized by BSF to attract tourists.
The state Tourism Department had been long trying to promote tourism from the border in the state and had held numerous meeting with BSF, the Union Tourism Ministry and the BSF.The central ministry then accepted the plan of Rajasthan Tourism Department to develop the Tanot complex for tourists.
Shah will arrive at Air Force Station Jaisalmer by helicopter at 10.35 a.m.He will then take off for Jaisalmer.at 10.35 a.m, he will leave for Jodhpur at 11.10 a.m.
