Panaji 9 Sep : In the same rant against the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, the president of Goa Forward party Vijai Sardesai on Friday said the state police had become so demoralized that they have outsourced security to their own events. “It appears that Goa police have become so demoralised , and uneasy that they needed to outsource security for their own events,” Fatorda MLA Sardesai said.
He was responding to news reported in an Indian daily police hired a a private security services to guard the cultural festival of Ganesh Chaturthi.Calangute police in North Goa had reportedly had arranged the event.
“Dr Pramod Sawant should resign as Home Minister before he reduces our police force to the size of the NCC,” Sardesai further stated.
Sardesai has been slamming at Pramod Sawant, ever since Pramod Sawant made a statement stating that BJP head Sonali Phogat had died in Goa due to cardiac arrest.
Sawant initially stated that ‘Preliminary evidence suggests that cardiac arrest is the reason of the death’.Later , the incident of Phogat was classified as murder, as an investigation had discovered that she was believed to have been given Methamphetamine-based drugs.
On Thursday, Sardesai said that if Sonali Phogat’s family members and daughter are seeking justice and justice for their daughter, then Pramod Sawant should resign as Home Minister until the investigation is completed by the central agency.”State police aren’t able to do it, as they have to do it under pressure,” Sardesai had said.
Sardesai had criticized Sawant declaring that it was a reckless statement made by Pramod Sawant who claimed that Phogat died because of cardiac arrest.”Haryana BJP and the Chief Minister have questioned the investigation carried out by Goa police and have requested CBI investigation.This is due to the fact that Goa CM had given certificate that the’murder’ was caused by an attack on the heart,” Sardesai had said.
