Melbourne 9th of September : Independent director Michelle Tredenick has decided to quit the Cricket Australia (CA) board at the Annual General Meeting in October.Michelle has been an active part of the board since November of 2015 and been informing the chair Lachlan Henderson that she will not be running for re-election because of growing commitments to work. “I have been on the CA Board since 2015 and I have decided that this is the best time to leave the CA Board after having completed two years as an independent director, and with my growing work commitments outside of cricket, which includes being a member of an ASX-listed board.”
“It has been a privilege to be a member of the Board for the last seven years, and the sport is in excellent condition as we look towards the future.I’d like express my gratitude to the previous and present directors for their assistance and friendship, as well as the entire Australian cricket family including our outstanding team and players,” stated Michelle.

According to CA’s website, Michelle is a highly experienced director of the company.She is who is currently on the board of Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Bank of Queensland (BOQ), Urbis, The Ethics Centre and a member of the Senate of University of Queensland.
She is also an avid follower of cricket and a devoted fan.CA concluded by saying that it will now begin the search for Michelle’s replacement on its Board.
