Amman 9th of September : Jordan’s Health Ministry has confirmed the first case of monkeypox in Jordan.The patient was Jordanian citizen in his 30s.He had recently traveled to a number of European countries and then returned to Jordan on the 20th of August.Xinhua news agency reported.It is the official Petra news agency.
The patient, who is in good health and recovering at home in isolation, began to experience symptoms on August 25, which included an increase in temperature and sore throat, along with swelling of lymph nodes, the report said.
The ministry stated that it was pursuing individuals who had contacted with the patient for questions regarding their health medical conditions.
