Los Angeles, Sep 8 : “Baywatch” actor Zac Efron has spoken out about his alleged “jaw-gate” in an interview with the magazine ‘Men’s Health.The rumours first surfaced in April with some pointing out he appeared differently in the Earth Day public service announcement.
Recognizing that his look has changed in recent years, Efron explained that it occurred after he was thrown from his home and broken his jaw in November of 2013.The jaw muscles and his face consequently must work harder to create expressions, as reported by People magazine.
The masseter muscle that helps you close your mouth while chewing and swallow, along with the muscles on your face, should function “like the symphony” however his injury meant that this wasn’t the situation, Efron said.
According to ‘People’ he was seeking a physical therapist to aid in his recovery however, he briefly stopped his treatment while in Australia in Australia, where he completed the second season of his Netflix series ‘Down to the Earth in the year 2000.
“The masseters just got bigger.They just got really huge,” Efron recalled.
“People” says that it was mother who informed him of the public attention his appearance was receiving on the internet and the possibility that he had plastic surgery or had undergone cosmetic procedures, which the publication described as “jaw-gate”.
Efron said that he tends to avoid social media.He added: “If I valued what others think of my character to the degree that they might consider me to be I wouldn’t be able to perform this job.”
