Chandigarh 8 September : In an important blow to the ISI-backed terror group that is jointly run by a gangster from Canada Lakhbir Singh under the alias Landa, and the Pakistan-based gangster Harvinder Rinda The police have arrested three of their closest aides Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav announced on Thursday.
Yadav also stated that at 25 accomplices who assist them in conducting illicit activities in the state have been identified.

The DGP stated that the arrested individuals include the main offenders of the IED that was improvised (IED) in Shahabad in Haryana in the last few days and has been identified as Nachhatar Singh who is alias Moti who is who is a resident of Tarn Taran.

The two other accused are identified as Sukhdev Singh who is known as Shera and Harpreet Singh who is known as Happy.

The police have found one IED with RDX that weighs 1.5 kg, along with detonator two pistols, eight cartridges and a motorcycle with no registration number from their collection.

The DGP said that in the preliminary investigations it has been discovered that the suspects were in direct contact with Lakhbir Landa.They were involved in the smuggling cross-border of explosives, weapons, and drugs on a huge scale.

The development occurred in the midst of the ongoing war against gangsters and drugs that is being waged by Punjab Police on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab a drug-free and safe.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ranjit Singh Dhillon said that after receiving information the police set up an observation post and detained the three suspects after obtaining two guns from their possession.

Following the revelations provided by Nachhatar Singh The police also uncovered an IED hidden on the edge of Rattoke village in Tarn Taran district.

He claimed that the Landa-Rinda Gang has an organization of about 40-50 people of which, police have already identified 25 of them, and an investigation is underway to capture them.
