Chennai 7th of September : Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who started her career in Indian cinema with director Mani Ratnam’s film “Iruvar,” has stated that the legendary director will always always remain her guru.Participating in the trailer and audio premiere of Mani Ratnam’s epic film “Ponniyin Sevan 1,” in which she is the main character of queen Nandini, Aishwarya said: “I am very pleased to be in this room tonight.Mani Sir is my Guru.He is always my Guru.Always, always my Guru.”
In front of the director who was sitting in the very first row of the audience the actress stated: “Thank you so much for this opportunity once again.Thanks for the opportunity again.To be honoured once more.
To accept me as your student in the project you’ve always wanted to work on “Ponniyin Selvan’.
“In total humility, sir.I began my journey as an undergraduate student in this wonderful world of cinema with you in “Iruvar”.I have no words to convey my gratitude and admiration for you.Thank you for letting me join your team.This is an incredible experience and extremely, very valuable in my journey as an actor.”
The actress also stated that being on stage, being part of the amazing actors and technicians of “Ponniyin Sevan” was a very emotional experience.
“It is an honor to have had the privilege of working with everyone in the cast and actors of the film,” she said.
