New Delhi, Sep 7 : Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Wednesday stated inflation is not an “red written” priority since it has cooled in the past few weeks.In her address to the India Ideas Summit, she declared that the government’s primary concern is creating jobs and distribution of income.
Sitharaman also said the India is taking over the G20 presidency in difficult times in which global supply chains are damaged, and geo-political equations are in flux.
The Finance Minister stated that the National Infrastructure and Investment Fund (NIIF) must be more robust.
In her remarks on the Data Protection Bill, she stated that the Centre is eager to introduce it to the table.
Minister of Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw had said on Tuesday that Central government would soon present an entirely updated version of the bill.
