New Delhi, Sep 5 : India reported 5,910 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours which is a slight decrease from the previous number of 6,809 cases, as reported by the Union Health Ministry on Monday.In the same time frame in the same time, the country has also recorded sixteen more Covid associated deaths, bringing the total number of deaths for the nation to 5,28,007 in the report.
The active caseload has dropped to 53,974 cases, which accounts for 0.12 percent of the overall positive cases.
The recuperation of 734 patients in the last 24 hours brought the total number of patients to 4,38,804,464.Thus, India’s rate of recovery is 98.69 percent.
The daily positivity rate has slightly increased to 2.60 percent, whereas the week-long positivity rate is 2.15 percent.
Additionally, in the same time period in the same time frame, an overall of 2,27,313 testing were conducted across the country, bringing the total number to more than 88.73 crore.
As of Monday morning the Covid-19 vaccination rate in India was higher than 213.52 crore.
More than 4.04 million adolescents have been vaccinated with an initial dose of Covid-19 since the beginning of the vaccination campaign for this age group.
