Surat 3 Sep : Surat police have booked Aam-Aadmi Party’s Gujarat unit president Gopal Italia for slandering BJP leaders and inducing people to commit offense against the authorities or public peace.A citizen identified as Pratap Chodvadiya in his complaint with the Umra police station has claimed, “Gopal Italia has intentionally insulted BJP by calling it a party of goons.” he incited the public with the statement that his party will be retributive of every blood drop, dear, you can strike any number of times you wish in three months prior to elections, but after that you’ll have to pay for it.”
Complainant has claimed Italia had insulted BJP leaders by saying, “Italia has called BJP leader C.R.Patil a ‘former bootlegger’ as well as Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi “Drugs Sanghvi”.”
The case is under investigation by the police inspector A.H.Rajput.
Responding to the criminal complaint made against the accused, Italia said, “They will file a complaint against me, however I not pursue action against drug landers or drug mafias These FIRs won’t alarm me and I won’t bow to pressure.”
