San Francisco, Sep 2 : Tech giant Apple is likely to make some iPod models including the most recent iPod nano and several versions of the last iPod shuffle and the fifth generation iPod touch models out of date by the end of this month. In a note to authorized service providers the tech giant announced that the model from 2012 of the iPod shuffle, along with the seventh-generation iPod nano and the fifth-generation iPod touch will be declared outdated by September 30, as reported by MacRumors.
Apple has already marked the 16GB version of the fifth generation iPod touch as outdated, and plans to add 32GB and 64GB versions in the coming months.
The tech giant stopped selling the iPod nano as well as the iPod shuffle completely in 2017 and the iPod touch was still available the beginning of the year.
The moment the iPod touch was removed Apple’s chief of marketing Greg Joswiak said the “spirit of iPod is still alive” across all Apple products including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV as well as HomePod mini.
