Sharjah August 31, : Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has increased to No.2 in the men’s T20I bowling charts following his stunning time of 3-22 in the Asia Cup Group B match which saw Afghanistan beat Bangladesh with seven wickets in Sharjah on Tuesday night.This was Afghanistan’s second consecutive victory in this tournament after their victory over Sri Lanka in the opening game.
Rashid Khan also went past New Zealand pace bowler Tim Southee to become the second highest wicket-taker in T20Is for males in the victory over Bangladesh.
The leg spinner, who begun the match with 112 scalps in the format, took the wickets of Mushfiqur Rahim, Afif Hossain and Mahmudullah for 115 wickets, according the ICC.
Southee was ranked second in the list of wicket-takers with 114 wickets prior to the game.Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is holding his record with 122 wickets, which is the most of any player in the game for men, and the second highest in all T20Is, second only to West Indies woman cricketer Anisa Mohammed.
Rashid 23 has had a stunning T20I career to date in his career, averaging 13.73 and averaging an economy rate of 6.16 after 68 games in the format.He has six wickets of more than four wickets in T20Is and is also the joint-highest in the game for men.
