“Jogi,” a film by Diljit, is a story of an unlikely friendship that endures anti-Sikh violence

Mumbai 28 August : Diljit Dosanjh is poised to turn the page to the darkest chapter in India’s history as an independent nation – the violence of 1984, which followed the assassination of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The trailer for the first part of his streaming film “Jogi” was released on Films Day in Mumbai.

The film was produced by Ali Abbas Zafar, who previously directed the Salman Khan-starring blockbuster ‘Sultan’.

The 1984 anti-Sikh riots took place following the time Gandhi was shot dead by her bodyguards Satwant Singh and Beant Singh in the aftermath of Operation Blue Star, an Indian military operation which was carried between June 1 and June 8, 1984, to expel the separatist leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and his followers from the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

Participating in the event online, Dosanjh said, “As an actor, you must develop with your character that you portray.Every role I take on helps me develop by myself.”

“Mera agar maanta dil nahi maanta wo the kirdaar is a” (If it doesn’t resonate with me, I won’t be able to portray the character with sincerity).I must be authentically in love with the character.”

He said: “Jogi holds a special place in my heart, and I can say this with satisfaction that this story has been made available through a worldwide platform such as Netflix that has a huge impact and reach.I am forever grateful and grateful to my loyal fans that have made me the person I am today.I hope they will like me in and in Jogi.”

“Jogi” reveals the story of an unbreakable friendship and determination in the midst of challenges, and is which takes place in Delhi in 1984.The film is an exciting emotionally charged journey of the grit and determination of three unifying friends.

The film also features Mohd.

Zeeshan Ayyub in his third OTT project following the time he created controversy with his Shiva appearance in the Prime Video show ‘Tandav’ and “Bloody Brothers”.

Additionally the film will feature Kumud Mishra Hiten Tejwani, and Amyra Dastur and was made by Himanshu Kirshan Mehra as well as Ali Abbas Zafar.”Jogi” will be available exclusively on Netflix on September 16, 2022.
