The CBI was escorted by the central paramilitary forces conducted raids against RJD MLC Sunil Singh, Rajya Sabha members Fayyaz Ahmed in Patna, Katihar and Madhubani districts on the 24th of August.

RJD National General Secretary Shivanand Tiwari said: “The manner in which BJP is utilizing central investigation agencies, I believe that the Bihar government should revoke the consent it has granted to central agencies such as the CBI to enter Bihar for investigation. In the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act 1946, the state government of the nation had granted permission to the CBI and permitted the investigation of the case without authorization.”

“After the creation of Narendra Modi’s government in 2014, Mizoram was the first state to withdraw its consent in 2015.That means, should the CBI is required to investigate a investigation, it must seek consent from the state government prior to conducting raids in the states in question. In the aftermath, Mizoram, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, and Rajasthan also retracted consent.

The total of 9 states have withdrawn consent to date,” he added.

Sources have claimed sources have said that Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav and others have listened to the advice of the top officials of the states, and it is to be determined if this decision is approved by the cabinet of the state or not.

After the news, BJP leaders reacted sharply.

Vice-President of the Opposition in Assembly Vijay Kumar Sinha stated: “The CBI is a constitutional body, and no one can stop it from entering in Bihar. The people who hold constitutional positions must be respectful of the constitutional bodies. If you’re not wrong, then what are you afraid of? Why do corrupt people feel nervous?

“CM Nitish Kumar is sitting on the constitutional office and he has changed into “Dhritarashtra”.We will not permit the leaders of the Mahagathbandhan to be arbitrarily elected in Bihar.”
