Dubai 29 Aug : India all-rounder Hardik Pandya said that the thrilling five-wicket victory over Pakistan on Sunday evening at the Dubai International Stadium has provided enough lessons to the team to prepare for close encounters in future.He added that the goal was to perfect the preparation to prepare for the T20 World Cup and the issues that will be posed with it.India defeated their arch-rivals Pakistan with five wickets with only two balls to left, with Pandya’s all-round show and Ravindra Jadeja’s score of 35 being key factors in the victory.
Pandya posted figures of 3/25 and 33 not out of 17 balls.
He made 52 runs to take the fifth wicket with Jadeja (35 off 29) to get India to the finish line with two balls left.In the end, Pandya finished off things in fashion by thrashing Mohammad Nawaz for a six over long-on.
“Our strategy is to perfecting the preparation in preparation for the T20 World Cup (in Australia in the coming months) and the more chances we can get the more successful.If we encounter the same situation again and we do, then definitely we will rely on the lessons learned from this game (against Pakistan),” Pandya said in an interaction video with Jadeja uploaded by BCCI on its website on Monday.
