Dubai 27 August : The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday confirmed that Disney Star will broadcast all ICC cricket matches in India over the next four years following it was awarded the television and digital rights to the media of both women’s and male’s world events until 2027.of 2027.Prior to that, in June, Disney Star had reclaimed the IPL TV rights for INR 23,575 crore (which is INR 57.5 million per game).
The ICC further stated that Disney Star emerged as the winner after a single round sealed bid process that has resulted in a significant increase to the rights fee compared to the previous cycle, extending the remarkable expansion and impact of cricket.
The decision was made following a rigorous tender bidding, selection, and evaluation process that began in June 2022.
