London 27 Aug : British singer-composer Elton John who recently released the single “Hold Me Closer” in collaboration with Britney Spears The singer-songwriter has shared his thoughts on the process by which his collaboration with Spears was born and expressed his delight at how much confidence the song can inspire the singer as reported by Mirror.co.uk. “Hold Me Closer,” that is a spin on John’s popular track ‘Tiny Dancing’, is Britney’s first song to be released in more than six years.Music legend Elton 75, admits that she “sang amazing”.
According to Mirror.co.uk, he admitted the idea of collaborating with Britney who is 40 years old, was suggested by his husband David Furnish.Elton stated that he has always been a huge fan of Britney Spears and was immediately interested in the idea of helping Britney bring her career back on the right track after her conservatorship ended in the last year.
Spears had stated that she was a retired musician in the aftermathof the incident, but when speaking to The Guardian, Elton admitted that they had to ensure she was satisfied with the song’s release and also get her approval.
He stated: “She’s been away so long, there’s plenty of anxiety because she’s been cheated numerous times, and she hasn’t been in the spotlight publicly for this long.We’ve held her hand throughout the whole process, and reassuring her everything will be okay.”
Elton said that Britney was “broken” and openly talked about the ways he had felt the same way, and said that he was in an “terrible situation”.Happily, he is now the most content he had ever been in the 32 years of sobriety.
