Rome August 27, : Private aid organization SOS Mediterranee on Saturday said it had rescued an entire group of migrants from a boat in crisis in the Mediterranean.
The crew of the Ocean Viking rescue ship took more than 60 people from a wooden boat that was crowded in the Maltese search zone in their fifth mission in just 36 hours, dpanews agency quoted the agency as saying.
One of the ones rescued was a baby who was only few weeks.
According to SOS Mediterranee SOS Mediterranee, there are at present around 270 people on board the Ocean Viking.
The majority of the people who set off from the coasts of North Africa, for instance, Libya or Tunisia in order in order to reach the European Union via the Mediterranean.
Private aid organizations regularly come to the area to help people who are at sea.
Italian authorities, usually after a long wait, permit the migrants to embark on the tiny island of Lampedusa, Sicily or the southern part of the mainland.
