Los Angeles, Aug 25 : Singer Harry Styles, who often calls out queer people sexual orientation, has landed in hot water following he wanted more “tender” sex scenes in gay-themed films.The 28-year-old actor and musician is being criticized on social media for his criticism of his latest film ‘My policeman”, in which he plays police officer who is homosexual, hiding his sexuality in the 1950s, according to aceshowbiz.com.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, he said: “So much of gay sex in films is two guys fighting over it.It sort of takes away the intimacy out of it.”
The actor spoke about his refusal to be conformed to a gender-specific sexuality definition and discussing his journey towards “figuring out” his sexuality, Harry, who is currently in a relationship with Olivia Wilde, said, “I think there are some viewers were alive during the period when it was not legal to be gay.”
The ‘Don’t Be Worried Darling actor also mentioned the director of ‘My policeman’ Michael Grandage “wanted to show that (the scenes are) sweet and tender and sensitive.”
After learning of his remarks his comments, both fans and critics were quick to Twitter to criticize Harry for “speaking for queer people but refusing to declare his community”.
A person posted “A straight person thinking he was a vegetarian for a reason queer people don’t need him and he ought to stop expressing his opinions for us.He’s just content because he took queer culture to get his fame and benefits and fame, for nothing,” adding, “If he does not want to label himself as an idc, but he should not be expressing his views on a group he isn’t even willing to be a part of.”

Recently, Harry was hit with sexual harassment accusations.
In response to the issue, the actor from ‘Harry’s house’ stated, “Sometimes people say, “You’ve only been publicly with women”, but I don’t think I’ve ever publicly had a relationship with anyone.If someone snaps a photo of your with someone but it doesn’t mean that you’re going to choose to go to an alcohol-fueled drink.”
