Thiruvananthapuram 23 August : The former state health minister K.K.Shailaja’s blunder in the House of the Assembly against her former cabinet colleague K.T.Jaleel proved to be costly for both of them.After she had finished her speech, as she was sitting after which the name of Jaleel as the next speaker was announced by the Speaker.
While her mike remained on, she heard the name of Jaleel, she was heard saying to herself, “Oh this man, will he get us in trouble?”.
With the audio system that is powerful now in the process in the assemblyhall, this comment was picked up by the mike and was used as a source for television channels.
This has become an issue of debate, Shailaja came out with an apology, stating that she was not saying anything that she stated was never in opposition to Jaleel.
“It’s not appropriate to conclude that the comment was directed at Jaleel because it never was like this,” wrote Shailaja in Facebook.
Jaleel of lately has been caught in controversy because of his posts in Facebook which included an instance where he called the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) “Azad Kashmir” and when it was attacked, he withdrew his post.
