Hyderabad 23 August : Hyderabad, August 23, : Telangana Police on Tuesday asked the BJP leaders to immediately end the Praja Sangrama Yatra, on the reason that there is suspicion of violation of peace.This happened just hours after police detained BJP state president Bandi Sanjay who was in charge of the padyatra in Jangaon district.
Warangal Police Commissionerate issued notice that there is no permit to conduct a padyatra in the district.The police also was warned BJP officials that if they persist legal action will be taken.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Wardhannapet division issued a an order to the Padyatra Convenor G.Manohar Reddy, and BJP state General Secretaries G.Premender Reddy and D.Pradeep Kumar.
The police stated in the report in the notice that in the name of padyatra the BJP leaders were making provocative remarks.The police officer also pointed out that in the name of “Dharma Deeksha,” the majority of party members were recruited from other districts.
“In light of your provocative comments and your plans to host Deeksha with massive gatherings from nearby districts, there’s an concern of breaking of the peace in the region resulting in serious problems with law and order,” reads the notice.
Police have made it clear that if they continue to conduct padyatra, the action will be taken in accordance with the law to ensure the protection of peace and peace in the area.
This was just only a few hours after Sanjay was detained in Jangaon when he was planning to sit on a protest at the police move against BJP workers in Hyderabad on Monday, for protesting at the residence of TRS MLC K.Kavitha over her allegations of involvement in Delhi liquor scam.
Sanjay who is a member of the Parliament of Karimnagar was transferred to Karimnagar.He however, has been placed under house arrest.
Police confirmed that he will remain under house-arrest until Wednesday.A police officer is stationed at the house of Sanjay.
In a press conference, Sanjay alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government tried to put an end to the Praja Sangram Yatra.He announced that the yatra will continue in Jangaon district, at the location that it was stopped.
Sanjay made an appeal to BJP workers throughout the state travel to Jangaon to take part in the padyatra, and fight against the “undemocratic measures” of the TRS government.
The state BJP head said the padyatra will continue as planned and will end in Warangal on the 26th of August with an open meeting that will be addressed by the BJP’s national president J.P.Nadda.
Sanjay was the one who launched the third stage of padyatra on the 2nd of August to expose the what he says are the shortcomings of the TRS government.
The 3rd phase of Yatra was planned to cover 325 km in five districts namely Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Nalgonda, Jangaon, Hamankonda and Warangal.
Sanjay has completed the second stage of the yatra which had begun with Jogulamba Shakti Peetam temple in Alampur, Gadwal on April 14th.He began the first phase of the yatra starting from Sri Bhagya Lakshmi Temple in the Charminar in August 2021.
In both phases he was able to meet hundreds of people and heard their complaints.The BJP leader claimed that they brought the people’s issues to the attention of the TRS government and went out to find solutions to the problems.
In the first part of padayatra’s initial phase Sanjay traveled 438 km in 36 days and spoke at 35 public events.In the next phase, he covered 380 kilometres.
