Mumbai 23 August : Cameras are ready to begin rolling in the Marathi epic historical period film ‘Moghul Martini Chhatrapati Tararani’ .The film was screened on Tuesday.The film will explore the life of the legendary Maratha warrior queen Chhatrapati Tararani, who fought valiantly with various foreign regimes to ensure the pride and liberty of her people.
Chhatrapati Tararani is credited with the end of Aurangzeb’s dream of dismantling Swarajya by providing a stern opposition to the Mughal king.
Marathi actor Sonalee Kulkarni will play the part of Queen, who was divorced in the age of 25, but did not cease to fight for her cause.
After having acted in historical dramas in the past, Kulkarni will now take the responsibility of playing the role of the Maratha queen of the empire.
In her remarks about the day of the film’s production, Sonalee Kulkarni said in a statement “I am humbled and honored to be able to play the role of an exemplary woman and a symbol of the pride of the Maratha culture.The story is inspiring to me and I am ecstatic to share this experience with the public.
Being the role of a national hero is a task that comes with great responsibility , and I am eager to begin shooting to get in the character of the character.It will be an unforgettable chapter of my life.”
The film was conceptualized, researched, and is scheduled to be shot on the advice of an expert team of experts.The film was created by Deepa Tracy of Mantra Vision and Akshay Bardapurkar of Planet Marathi OTT.
The National Award winner, Akshay Bardapurkar said, “After intense work, we are now ready to bring our dream project ‘Moghul Martini Chhatrapati Tararani” out on the streets.We believe that this film will become a landmark in Marathi Cinema.

Produced by Rahul Jadhav, the film ‘Moghul Chhatrapati Tararani’ is scheduled to be released in 2023.
