Islamabad 23 August : The International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) has stated that it received reliable allegations of inhumane abuses of the authority in Pakistan.In a tweet, IHRF stated: “We have received credible reports of the abuses of authority in Pakistan.????.We are currently forming an advisory group on this issue.
We are currently collecting accurate information on what happened.We are open to any evidence and reliable information.”
The news is happening at a time of reports of violence against journalists and politicians have surfaced in the nation, The Express Tribune reported.
Shahbaz Gill, a close assistant of the former prime minister Imran Khan, was detained at Bani Gala Chowk in Islamabad just a few days back after an audio footage of his controversial comments that aired on a channel on television was shared through social media.
After viewing videos and photos that show Gill struggling to breathe after being transported to the hospital and the court The PTI chairman visited Gill in the PIMS last week, but was denied access.
Khan had stated that Gill was abused sexually during his time in police custody.
He also stated that he will not leave a stone unturned to prosecute the perpetrators responsible for physically and mentally beating his aide.
Videos of Gill were also released on Monday in which he is seen in a heated argument with doctors while they force the patient to eat.The Express Tribune reported.
Meanwhile journalist Jameel Farooqui was detained in Karachi for falsely accusing the Islamabad Police of ‘custodial torture’ of Shahbaz Gill.
The police claimed the claim that Farooqui in his videos claimed that the police of capital had accused him of engaging in physical and sexual brutality on Khan’s chief of staff.
