New Delhi, Aug 23 : The Congress on Tuesday officially launched its website and tagline of the pan-India “Bharat Jodo Yotra” scheduled to start on September 7th from Kanyakumari.
It was said that the purpose of the Yatra is to unify India by bringing people together and help get the nation up and running.
Veteran politicians Jairam Ramesh as well as Digvijaya Singh joined forces to launch the program of the event.
Following its launch on September 7th, the yatra will traverse 12 states before it will conclude in Jammu and Kashmir which covers the distance of more than 3,500 km in the space of approximately 150 days.
Senior leaders including Rahul Gandhi who will be actively participating in the rally.People who aren’t able to physically join in will assist in spreading the message by organizing events and taking part in online campaign.
All kinds of life will be gathered at various points and march in a united manner.It will be an expression of the unity of India, a celebration of optimism that will be filled with music programs and contests that everyone can take part in.
“This is an invitation for everyone to join us and walk with us.India is for everyone of us.”Bharat Jodo Yotra” is open to everyone.” the party declared.
In terms of economics, the wealthy are getting richer, while the poor are getting worse off The party claimed and said that the majority of people are afflicted by the escalating unemployment and inflation.
Kisans and Khet mazdoors are buried under debt.
The wealth of our country are being sold off to capitalists who are crony at a massive loss.
“Socially people are being divided by virtue of caste or religion, region, food, language and dress,” the party alleged and claimed that each day, another scheme is devised to create one Indian fight against another.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to shake the feeling of insecurity, particularly in women.
It is said that politically, today, the opinions of the people are silenced and our constitutional rights are being shattered.
The efforts are being implemented in an organized manner to undermine our Constitution, demolish our institutions, squander our democracy and destroy our unity and our fraternity.
State governments, which are elected by the people are unstable due to the power of money and the misuse of agencies.”The states are not receiving the tax money due to them by the Union government in time.Dalits, adivasis, and backward classes are being denied of their basic rights -jal the jangal and Zameen”.
The Party declared that the best way to deal with this problem is to join hands with hands in a circle, hold hands and recognize the power of unity.
