5 Arab states meet in Egypt to discuss cooperation in all aspects

Cairo 23rd of August : The heads of Egypt as well as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Jordan, Bahrain and Iraq discussed ways to improve their overall relations, just a few hours before a summit of five countries in New Alamein, a coastal city in northwestern Egypt.
At the time of the meeting Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi expressed his country’s gratitude for the historical bonds that have united Arab countries the Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement released on Monday.

Sisi along with the other four Arab leaders -Sisi and the other four Arab leaders – UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi — also discussed ways to improve relationships and co-operation in all areas of cooperation between the five countries as per the statement.

The UAE President arrived in New Alamein on Sunday and was joined by Sisi in greeting the three other officials at El Alamein International Airport earlier on Monday, Xinhua news agency reported.

Five-way Arab summit scheduled for Tuesday is designed to increase efforts to improve economic integration between Egypt and the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain and Iraq.
