New Delhi, Aug 22 : “Delhi crime” director and showrunner Tanuj Chopra who is preparing for the launch of Season 2 of “Delhi Criminal,” says that viewers were drawn to the first episode due to the nature of the crime that it covered — the horrendous Nirbhaya rape .However, they soon became in with with the characters: DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, IPS trainee (now ACP) Neeti and Bhupinder. “The most important that I’ve learned about Delhi criminality is the volume of studies that go into the creation of the show.It’s not all of it is displayed on screen in quick and sharp details, but it’s the basis upon which we build our story,” Chopra said.
The second episode is set to be released on the 26th of August Neflix will focus on a brutal quadruple murder which creates fear in the public and exacerbates the class gap in Delhi.It’s a fictionalized account of the brutal “Kachcha Baniyan group that once shattered terror in Delhi, the capital city of India.
“I believe in S1 the audience were looking for a crime, but became in the love with the characters.This season we’re hoping to explore these beloved characters and dig deeper into their characters and how they’ve changed over the last few seasons,” Chopra said.
He stated: “That’s what’s beautiful about the show, the characters and the magical times between them.I’m happy to put so much effort and heart into an show such as Delhi Crime.”
The main characters of the show are played by Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Yashaswini Dayama, Sidharth Bhardwaj Gopal Dutt Denzil Smith, Tillotama Shome Jatin Goswami, Vyom Yadav and Ankit Sharma.
