Monkeypox reported for the 3rd time in a minor in US

New York, Aug 22 : A minor in New York has reportedly contracted monkeypox for the first time in children in the state, and the third instance of this disease in children in the US.
The New York Department of Health data released last week do not provide the child’s gender or gender, nor the city of residence, or the way the child was infected as reported by CNN.

The public health officials are looking into how the children came into contact with the virus.

Since the outbreak of monkeypox started in May, the majority of cases have occurred in men who sex with men.But anyone can get the virus by close skin-to skin contact.

When it comes to the care of children in the case of children, the CDC stated that this could be “holding cuddling, cuddling, or feeding, and sharing items like towels and bedding, cups and Utensils”.

The CDC stated that it had confirmed that the Jynneos vaccine is made accessible to children through specific protocols for expanded use.

The agency also has developed new guidelines for health medical professionals on diagnosing, treating and preventing monkeypox in adolescents and children.
