Panaji 20 Aug : Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Friday inaugurated the QR code service for paying water bills of the Goa government in order to improve the billing and collection systems.Shekhawat in a speech at an event in the capital city of the state Panaji stated, “We need to recollect and understand the philosophy behind the struggle for freedom fought by our freedom fighters who endured a myriad of circumstances to achieve the freedom to be a part of an entirely new India that was their goal.”
“We are able to pay respect to the great freedom fighters of our country by creating India as they had envisioned they had in mind,” he added.
He stated that the “Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ Mission announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been done with the aim of improving the quality of life of the society.
“Though Goa had achieved ‘Har Ghar Jal’ goal a lot earlier but the certification was not issued until every panchayat had sent an recorded message of the village representative stating that every household had water,” the Union Minister added.
He declared that after taking the charge of the office of the Prime Minister, Modi had announced that the Union government would work for the development of all segments of society.
“Accordingly numerous plans were announced according to the needs of the society.” Shekhawat added.
