Certain Google Pixel users can’t access RCS from Android 13

San Francisco, Aug 18 : As the tech giant Google has begun rolling out Android 13 for Pixel devices however, certain Google Fi users are not able to get the Rich Communication Services (RCS) to work on their Pixel phones after installing the new operating system.
RCS is usually used when connected to Wi-Fi, for those affected however switching to cell results in messages saying “aceConnectinga” in Settings, then Chat features, 9To5Google reported.

After returning to Wi-Fi, you will see the green “Connected” status is restored and everything is working again.

Some users have encountered this issue since Android 13 Beta and have already submitted a bug report.

A Google employee who was on the Android Issue Tracker in May stated that the issue was due to an error in provisioning.He suggested the following steps to resolve the issue.

“Thank you for bringing this issue.We’ve shared this with our engineering and product team and will be updating this issue with more details in the event that it becomes available.” the company announced in mid-June.

Additionally, Android 13 is launched with numerous brand new features.

These include enhanced privacy controls, settings for languages, and more, and it will be available starting with Pixel phones.

Google had previously stated that Android 13 will roll out to Samsung Galaxy, ASUS, HMD (Nokia phones), iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus, OPPO, realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, vivo, Xiaomi and many more later in the year.
