Mumbai 16 August : The day following Telangana’s awe-inspiring achievement, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, on Tuesday, urged all residents in the state to sing the National Anthem at 11 a.m.on Wednesday, and to attempt to break the world record.
The Chief Minister has described it as an opportunity to create an example for the world the Chief Minister stated that it is a one of the aspects of the 75th Independence Day celebrations and the state Tourism & Cultural Affairs Secretary Saurabh Vijay has issued all the necessary instructions.

The administration has instructed all those employed in the government office, as well as teachers and students in both private and public schools as well as professors and lecturers in universities and colleges, as well as any other educational institution to stop for a minute to sing the National Anthem, with full respect, wherever they might be at the time they are scheduled.

In parallel, the government has also appealed to any private enterprise, businesses and corporations, semi-government, central and state government enterprises to permit their employees and officers to take part in the Wednesday program.

Shinde also urged everyone to stop for a short time at 11 a.m.to sing the National Anthem, in large numbers throughout the state.

The government has instructed the relevant departments to ensure that maximum public awareness is provided to the of the singing of the National Anthem via social media and television channels, as well as commercial and community radios FMs, FMs etc.in order to ensure it is heard by all the 12 billion citizens.
