Punjab CM dedicates Aam Aadmi Clinic in Ludhiana

Ludhiana 15 Aug : As a result of a voter promise to provide free and high-quality health facilities to the citizens of Punjab the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday formally inaugurated to the people of Punjab an Aam Aadmi Clinic in this industrial city.
The total of 75 clinics of this kind were opened simultaneously across the state which set in motion the first steps towards revolutionizing the primary health healthcare infrastructure in Punjab.

“On this day of history it is the Aam Aadmi Party government has committed these clinics for the people in order to ensure that they can access top-quality healthcare without having to pay a penny,” said the Chief Minister, when he formally dedicated the clinic.

The Chief Minister announced that the clinics will be open in every every corner of the state.

He also said that in big towns two clinics will be open to facilitate the needs of the populace.

He stated that in the initial phase, 75 Aam Aadmi clinics were dedicated to the people to commemorate the 75th Independence Day.

The Chief Minister announced that each Aam Aadmi clinic will have the services of a staff of four to five persons, comprising an MBBS doctor along with a lab technician, and a nurse to diagnose and treat patients.

Mann announced that 41 packages with more than 100 medical tests will be made available to people at no cost of charge in these Aam Aadmi Clinics.

He claimed that his government has completed one of the main promises made by the polls with the setting up of these clinics in rural and urban areas.

The Chief Minister had envisioned that these clinics could be a step in reforming the healthcare system in Punjab.

Mann expressed his hope that 90% of patients will be treated in these clinics, thus reducing the load in hospitals.

He stated that only seriously ill patients with major illnesses will be further referred the hospitals.

The Chief Minister has stated that this decision is revolutionary and will bring about a new era of healthcare in the state.He added that patients will be offered the option of online appointments in these clinics.

Mann stated that these clinics will offer free medicine and diagnostic services for primary use.

The Chief Minister has reiterated that the state’s government has given the highest importance to health and education sectors.

He declared that the Civil hospitals across the state would be cleaned up in the coming days to ensure that they are providing high-quality health services to the citizens.

Mann added that 2,140 highly competent doctors had applied for these positions.
