Mumbai 12 August : Former India head coach Ravi Shastri on Friday said that the second season of the Legends Cricket League (LLC) will be dedicated to celebrations of the country’s 75th anniversary of independence.The first game of the LLC Season Two will be played on September 15 at Eden Garden, Kolkata.
The match is referred to as a special one the match will take place between India World vs.World as India Maharajas against World Giants.
Former India captain and the current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly will be the captain of India and the World Team will be captained by the World Cup-winning skipper of 2019 as well as England’s former captain of white ball Eoin Morgan.Ten foreign players from 10 countries will take part in this game.
“This is a moment of pride for us to be celebrating the 75th anniversary of our freedom.As an proud Indian I feel immense pleasure to announce that we have chosen to dedicate the current football league to the 75th anniversary of Independence celebrations,” said Shastri in an official statement.
The league will start the following day on September 16, and four teams in franchise format will compete in LLC Season Two.
In total, 15 matches are scheduled to be played in this season that will last until October 8.All players and teams will be traveling between each of the six cities in caravans.
