Los Angeles, Aug 8 : Actress Jessica Chastain met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.The 44-year-old Zelensky who was an comedian and actor, posted an image on his official Telegram account that showed him and his actress in the presidential palace on Sundayafternoon, as reported by nypost.com.
“American actor Jessica Chastain is in Ukraine today.For us, these visits of celebrities are very important,” Zelensky wrote.
“Thanks to this the world will be able to be able to hear, see and comprehend the truth about what’s taking place in our country more” the message said.
Chastain 45, who is was also a patient at the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, Ukrinform reported.
The photos depicted the actress in all black with her hair pulled back into loose ponytail.She smiled while taking a photo with Zelensky in the front of an Ukrainian flag.
According to NYPost, another photo shows Chastain looking a bit worried while sitting with Zelensky at the table in what appeared to be a heated conversation.
