New Delhi, Aug 8 : Actor Mrunal Jain who was seen playing various characters on screen and in interviews, said he is excited to playing an upcoming superhero.
Mrunal in an interview with IANS told IANS: “I would love to be the role of a superhero.My son is an avid follower of superhero stories, so I would love to play an iconic superhero role that my son would love too.”
The actor began his journey in showbiz with the show ‘Kahaani Harmaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki’ .He later also appeared in serials like “Bandini” and “Hitler Didi and shared his thoughts on the shift in the contents of the television shows.
He said: “The content has changed but the viewers love to watch the same old show with spice in a newer version.”
The importance of looks is paramount for actors, said Mrunal and said: “Yes, looks are crucial for actors.However, there are times when it can be detrimental because the environment has changed.Through all these platforms, the way towards casting has also changed , so producers scripts are requiring more realistic characters.”
Mrunal was last seen in the film ‘Naagarjuna: Ek Yoddha’ and he is back after five years with “Yehrishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.He is playing an important role, and his appearance is expected to bring in a lot of new twists in the plot.
When asked about his role as the character of Dr.Kunal Khera in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain’, he declared: ” I have entered as a surgeon to treat Abhimanyu (played by Harshad Chopda).Let’s see how the writers follow the next step.The show offers a wonderful combination of family dynamics and relationships.That’s why the audience remains interested despite the show running over 14 years.”
Mrunal was also seen in Akshay Kumar in the film ‘Sooryavanshi’ starring him.After a hiatus from the tiny screen for five years he stated: “I didn’t get the roles that I was hoping for and decided to stay clear of.I produced a short film and some of music videos, and was busy with my Tennis Premier League, started by me along with my pal Kunal Thakur just a few years ago.”
