By M.K.Ashoka Bengaluru 7 August : The groups in Karnataka have drawn swords in the fight of Bengaluru.Following the decision of the Supreme Court, decks have been cleared to conduct elections in the 243 Wards of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) The elections of which have been in the midst since September 2019.
The BJP and the Congress seek to establish their supremacy in order to prove that they run the show in the Silicon Valley of India. Both parties are engaging in conflict regarding the reservation of Wards and the Congress has taken it to the Supreme Court.
The verdict is expected to be announced soon.
In the meantime the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is overflowing with optimism that it will display its flag in Bengaluru by causing the surprise in the civic elections of Bengaluru regardless of when the elections are scheduled to take place.
The ruling BJP has been accused of not being able to deal with reservations and the delimitation process.Opposition parties blame the ruling party of seeking a lengthy legal battle so that BBMP elections are held following the state General Assembly elections in 2023.
Anil Kumar Tadkal, the spokesperson of the Congress during an interview with IANS stated that the BJP has broken all rules in deciding the delimitation of the wards.”There must be certain guidelines, such as the amount of voters or some other criteria. In the absence of ST community the area is reserved exclusively for them.Similarly, when there is a higher percentage of SC voters The ward is then made a general category.
Anywhere Congress MLA’s are present in 72 wards, 96 districts are reserved exclusively for women,” he says.
“We are ready to go to elections at any time.
However the BJP wants to delay the BBMP elections in some way, as the announcement for the state Assembly elections will be announced in the next six months. If elections happen today MLAs in the current session will be required to take care of the costs.
They could face opposition, which could negatively impact them,” Anil Kumar Tadkal explained.
“The Congress candidates have been working in the respective wards over the last three to four years, having gotten all the details, BJP has deliberately messed with reservation to benefit.
The Wards that are represented by BJP candidates have remained unaffected,” he said.
He added that the anti-incumbency aspect is evident in Bengaluru.
The ruling party has ruined the reputation of Bengaluru as an IT, BT and garden city. The BJP has made Bengaluru garbage-filled and the public knows the way they placed public buildings up to auction.”We will be focused and will not have any issues with elections at any time,” he said.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has defended the list by saying that the reservation matrix was created in conformity with the 2015 High Court order.”The Congress had also done it while they were in the position of power. They should reexamine what they did.We all know what has transpired in each of the constituencies.
“Congress has the possibility of contesting the BBMP reservation matrix in the court.
Instead, the party is engrossed in the craziness of rowdyism. What is the right way to do this? This demonstrates the Congress culture.Everyone will be scathing about it.” CM Bommai has stated.
Jagadish V.Sadam The State Media Convener of the AAP in Karnataka said that Bengaluru residents are suffering due to the effects of the corrupt practices of the ruling BJP.The constant rain over the last three months has exposed national party leaders. While the they claim that the ruling BJP claims that low-lying areas and encroachment zones are flooded, the reality is that rainwater has reached homes in the majority of the towns.
They are directly afflicted by the corrupt practices and the voters in Bengaluru are informed of Punjab as well as New Delhi models, he stated.
The voters have voted in favor of the AAP and the victory of the party is assured.
Based on the choice of AAP candidates AAP itself, voters will observe some differences. The less well-known and friendly people from different kinds of life are selected.AAP offers an opportunity to the 122 women candidates to run for office.”Our women candidates are independent and can be distinguished by differences between candidate of national parties that are nothing more than rubber stamps. Our women candidates will be educated and independent.People would be proud to vote for them,” Jagadish V.Sadam said.

“The electors will need to look out for the civic amenities.
They should also be aware of the amount of money has been allocated to their Wards. The information is available in the site.
If there is no use of funds or the misuse of funds is found the voters must elect new candidates,” he explained.
