New Delhi, Aug 6 : Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth who portrays Thor the god of Thunder has stated that CWG gold medallist Mirabai Chanu is worthy of Thor’s hammer.He even called her a legend.Chris’s praise is a result of Chanu took home gold in the CommonWealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.She was honoured with the award following the fact that she lifted 201 kilograms.
A social media user tweeted to Chris and said: “Time for Thor to abandon his hammer.”
And, he replied: “She is deserving! Congrats, Saikhom, you legend.”
An exuberant Chanu responded to Hemsworth by saying: “Thank you so much @chrishemsworth, I always enjoy watching you.”
The reason for the reference was that aside from Thor there is no other superhero who can summon the Mjolnir.Thor’s Mjolnir is the hammer of the thunder god Thor in Norse mythology that is used as a deadly weapon and as a sacred instrument for blessing.
