New Delhi, Aug 5 : Tech giant Apple is likely to launch its new generation iPhone 14 simultaneously from factories in China and India an expert analyst said on Friday.On the microblogging website Twitter Ming-Chi Koo posted his latest survey suggests Foxconn’s iPhone production site in India will release the brand new 6.1-inch iPhone 14 almost simultaneously with China for the first time in the second half of 2022 (India being a quarter or more behind in the past).
“In the short-term India’s iPhone capacities and deliveries are in an enormous gap with China however, it’s an important achievement for Apple in creating an outside of China iPhone production facility,” Kuo wrote on Twitter.
“It suggests that Apple is working to lessen the impact of geopolitical factors on supply, and sees the Indian market as the next important growth catalyst,” he added.
A recent report revealed the company sold more than 1.2 million iPhones in India in the second quarter of this year, recording an astounding 94 percent rise (year-on-year).
More than one million of the total of iPhones were ‘Made in India devices.
In addition, Apple iPads logged an impressive growth of 34 percent (on-year) in India and the company sold more than 0.2 million iPads in India.
The iPhone 14 lineup includes the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max as well as the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max which is the top of the line.The tech giant may have removed the 5.4-inch iPhone mini this year.
