The fierce war with Russia continues in Ukraine.Other foreigners, including Indians trapped there during the war, are being repatriated on special flights.

The Central Government is also working hard to repatriate our Indians stranded in Ukraine.Hundreds of Indians have already been rescued on Air India flights as part of Operation Ganga.

There are an estimated 20,000 Indian students in Ukraine.About 60 percent of them left Ukraine.

The remaining 40 per cent have reached the conflict zone in the Kharkiv and Sumi areas.The other half reached the western border of Ukraine, the foreign secretary said.

A team of 25 officers traveled to Bucharest, Budapest, Poland and Slovakia to evacuate Indian nationals from Ukraine.Efforts are being made to evacuate all Indians trapped in other war-affected areas, including Kharkiv, safely and urgently.
