The High Court has extended the stay on the cases registered by the CID against former chief minister and TDP chief Chandrababu.
CID has registered cases against Municipal Minister Narayana.
Based on a complaint lodged by YCP Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishnareddy on the Assigned Lands case, cases have been registered against Narayana, including Chandrababu. The cases were registered under various sections of the AP Assigned Lands Prevention Act, IPC in addition to the SC and ST Harassment Prevention Act.
Authorities have registered a case against Chandrababu in connection with the transfer of about 500 acres of assigned land.CID officials have alleged that without the approval of Cabinet these lands are included in land pooling G.O.These lands, which were actually allotted to Dalits, were purchased before the declaration of capital. The purchases of these assigned lands were then allowed to be regularized in a one-time settlement.
YCP chiefs allege that Chandrababu took the decision ignoring the objections and suggestions of the authorities in this regard.
The YCP has been alleging many irregularities in the Amravati land affair since its time in the Opposition. After coming to power it conducted various inquiries along with the Committee of Ministers.
Cases against these developments continued in the courts as well. The government has mentioned in the assembly the names of several ministers, including Benami of Chandrabu – Lokesh who were also involved in insider trading.
