Madrid, December 29 : .Spain’s Ministry of Health reported 99.671 Covid-19 new cases in the last 24 hours.This brings the total coronavirus cases in the country to 6,032,297, since the outbreak.Meanwhile, the Ministry confirmed Tuesday that another 114 deaths related to Covid-19 occurred during the same time, bringing the total number of victims in this country up to 89.253, according the Xinhua news agency.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez declared that 80 percent of Spanish citizens over 60 have been given a third dose.The Basque regional government of northern Spain also confirmed that football ground attendance would drop to 50% and that restaurants and bars will be closed at 1 AM.
Representatives of Spain’s 17 Autonomous Communities and the Ministry of Health will examine a proposal that would reduce quarantine time for those who test positive for Covid-19 to 10 days.
